God has been moving among the Roma people in Slovakia for many years. Hundreds, even thousands, have had their lives transformed by the gospel. Many Roma churches have begun, some with hundreds of members. This move of God shows no signs of slowing, if anything it is accelerating. Pastor Rinaldo Olah in Sabinov states there are unlimited opportunities to start outreaches and plant churches but there are some things that hinder their efforts. One is the lack of trained pastors and leaders.

To meet the need for pastors and leaders, a ministry leadership school was started in Sabinov. This school is led and taught by established Roma church leaders. They currently have around 150 - 170 students who attend once per month. They are faced with many logistical and financial obstacles. Many of the students do not have their own transportation. The teachers are not paid for their time and work. Food must be provided for this large crowd. They need to meet more often but cannot because of the lack of resources.

Pastor Rinaldo speaks of a window of opportunity that exists, a special time of God's favor over the Roma people. This is also our opportunity, our opportunity to help provide resources that will meet these needs and accelerate the spread of the gospel among the Roma.We must do all we can to help maximize this opportunity.
