"Those who have been cursed will be a blessing to the nations."
When we think of the word margin, we think of the blank space surrounding the text on a page. Very little thought or attention is normally given to this area of a page. After all, it is blank, it is empty. Our attention is focused on the important part of the page, the valuable part, the text. Sometime in the late 60's, the word marginalize took on a new meaning, the one that we are familiar with today, “to relegate to an unimportant or powerless position” (the "margins" of society). Who are marginalized people? People who are seen as the blank space on a page. They are seen as unimportant, irrelevant, worthless, of no value and as such, are ignored and overlooked by the majority of society. People such as the Roma (Gypsies) of southeast Europe. Europe's Heart, established by Jim and Sherry Sabella, brings the gospel to Roma communities by raising funds that will assist in planting and building churches and ministry centers, and training pastors and leaders. Europe's Heart helps the Roma people experience God’s love, as well as receive the care society has denied them for generations.
