About Us

The Oakley's are Assemblies of God missionaries from Concord, NC.  Currently, they are on itineration in the US.  They have spent the last 20 years working in Central/Southeast Europe and are now entering a new season.  Chris and Lenee' have been asked to lead Europe's Heart, a ministry to the marginalized of Central/SE Europe.  This ministry will focus on the Roma people in Slovakia and Serbia, helping with planting new churches, construction of church buildings, and humanitarian aid.  The Oakleys will be based stateside and will be raising awareness about the plight of the Roma and the incredible ongoing spiritual awakening among the Roma.  Fund and team raising will also be a major part of the Oakley's focus.

The Oakleys were involved in several different areas of ministry while living in Budapest for 8 years, one of which was an international church.  Chris and Lenee' helped plant Riverside Church Budapest in 2014.  They served as associate pastors and youth pastors at RCB until June of 2023.  The church celebrated it's 9th anniversary in Sept. 2023.  Additionally, the Oakley's started a youth ministry called H2O youth Budapest in 2014.  Every other week, there continue to be around 30 - 40 teenagers that meet to worship.  One last thing, the Oakley's have been involved with coaching Hungarian baseball teams.  This became a great opportunity to meet and build relationships with Hungarian young people and their families.

The Oakley's began their first term as Central Europe missionaries in 2004, living in Dresden, Germany.  They hosted 30 short-term missions teams over their first term, working in the countries of Germany, Poland, Czech Rep., Austria, Slovakia, & Hungary.

The Oakley’s felt God leading them to move to Prague, Czech Republic for their second term in 2009.  They continued to host missions teams and pastors throughout Central Europe, working with a total of 25 different teams and individuals.  They began to branch out into other areas of ministry as well, such as street evangelism, prayer ministry, children’s ministry, and women’s ministry.  Also, in 2010, we had the divine appointment with the Roma pastors in Sabinov, Slovakia that would change and influence our lives dramatically, and continues to do so up to the present moment.

Chris is a 1989 graduate of Wake Forest University.  He is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, as well as a licensed residential building contractor.  Lenee' is a 1993 graduate of UNC-Charlotte.  She is a registered nurse who has worked in hospitals, doctor's offices, nursing homes, and Hospice House.  They have five children:  Nathan (26 - US Army active duty), Aaron (24 - photography/videography/construction), Matthew (22 - US Army reserve, welder), Madelyn (19 - student at Univ. of Valley Forge) and Abigail (16). They have worked with over 100 different short-term mission teams and traveled in over 30 different countries.
